Add support for Tezos NFTs#40
Most of the world’s NFT artists have a strong preference for minting on Tezos, which has become known as the “art chain.” Back in Q1 2021, OpenSea announced they had accepted money from the Tezos Foundation to integrate Tezos NFTs into their marketplace. After sitting on their hands for nearly 8 months, they returned the money and decided to instead integrate other chains like Solana.
Since then, a couple Tezos marketplaces have sprung up but none are seeing rapid adoption and exponential growth. I believe LooksRare would be able to both grow the adoption of Tezos NFTs and gain the loyalty of digital artists by building a safe, trusted marketplace for art NFTs.

Yes please this would be a massive differentiator and would draw a fresh set of collectors to the site. As a holder of 15k+ LOOKS, I’d love to see tezos added to LR.

Happy to help with an integration. It took Rarible a few weeks only to integrate Tezos.
At its core, it comes down to three things
- Resource
- Priorities
- Making sure we have an optimal experience on ETH before we expand to other chains
I would use LR day and night.
Disappointing that it’s not planned, hopefully that changes in the near future

That would be great! And I suppose you could take up on the offer to help with the integration. There is already a lot of experience and the NFT ecosystem is very mature. I profit from this in the industry context a lot as well when implementing ideas based on the Tezos technology stack.
I’ve always said that I wouldn’t use OS even if it ever integrated Tezos.
I’d definitely use LR if it did though.
